I have now read four Mieville books, King Rat, Perdido Street Station, The Scar, and Iron Council. He was suggested to me by some good friends, and now just about everyone in my inner circle have read a number of his books. He is so wildly imaginative I like to say that even his sideline stories and peripheral characters are better than a lot of the main themes of other authors. My friends and I continue to discuss the books, long after we have finished reading them. I look forward to reading more of his work.
