I just finished reading William Gibson’s latest novel, Spook Country. I really like the way Gibson writes, with a kind of easy transition back and forth between stream of consciousness of his characters to gritty detail and storytelling. The only problem with Spook Country was that 3/4 of the way through it I was thinking to myself “but what’s the point?” Meaning, the story was good, but the events that happen and the actions the characters take feel like they have no reason. Anyways, I enjoyed the writing, if not the overall story. I would recommend it to fans of his other work at least.
