Last night while heading South from Novato on my drive home I saw flashes of lightning in the distance. By the time I got into the city it actually started to hail! All I could think of at first was “oh no, my car!”. But luckily I was close to home and manage to slip into the garage with relatively minor exposure to the downfall. In reality it probably wasn’t big enough or moving fast enough to actually damage my car, but it sure sounds loud when it’s pelting you as you drive.
